We charge a genuine fixed price of £110 plus VAT (£132 total) to unblock a drain, toilet or sink at a single domestic propery in our *local area during normal working hours. Conditions do apply
The fixed rate price includes:
The use of the high pressure water jetter and other machines
The use of the CCTV camera
Checking and clearing associated drains
If practicable, a final camera inspection of the section that was blocked
Any photos or videos recorded at the time

Subject to a travelling surcharge: Dartmouth, Dartmoor, Kingsbridge, Ivybridge, Exmouth, Honiton, Crediton and 'out of the way' places. We will give you a quote when we take the booking.
Exclusions to the fixed price - Subject to the timed rate:
Commercial premises
Properties on septic tanks
Shared (common) pipes of flats
Root cutting, descaling pipes or removing concrete or heavy silt deposits
Digging out of buried manhole covers
Difficulties due to inaccessible manhole covers & making new access points
Lifting decking
Retrieving lost rods or 'Items'
Working from multiple properties
Additional CCTV investigations and drain tracing
Our timed rate:
£110 plus VAT will get you the first hour on site for whatever we do including drain clearance, CCTV camera surveys and drain tracing. It is a minimum charge and it will cover 90% of jobs.
Any additional time is at the rate of £90 plus VAT per hour - charged in 1/4 hr increments - Thus if we are there for 1.5 hrs that is all you are billed for (in that case, £155 plus VAT).
Only time worked is charged. If we stop for coffee or a chat or have to make a phone call, the clock stops too.
A full report following a CCTV investigation is an additional £100 plus VAT. This includes a plan of the drainage layout, a list of defects (with photos take off the movie) and recommendations.
Alternatively, just a computer drawn plan following a CCTV investigation is an additional £60 plus VAT.
Video recorded during a CCTV drainage investigation is free of charge
Weekends, Evenings and Bank Holidays cost extra - generally plus 50%
CCTV Pre-Purchase or Homebuyers Drainage Inspections and Surveys:
We usually quote for these based on the number of manholes at the property
This way we can give you some idea of the costs 'over the phone' without first visiting the propery
The thinking being that the more manholes there are, the more involved the drain survey will be
The cost of the site visit and preparation of the report is £250 plus VAT for a one manhole property
Each additional manhole worked from costs £45 plus VAT
The average number of manholes is 3 although there are plenty with just 1 and more than 5 is rare

About Draincure:
Founded 40 years ago by Ken Twydell, Draincure is a family business dealing with drains and just drains in South Devon. We are not a Franchise nor a subsiduary of a larger company.
Our main area of operation includes Torbay, Teignbridge, South Hams and Exeter. We travel as far as Kingsbridge in the west and Honiton in the east. Basically it is all of the TQ Postcode and much of the EX Postcode areas.
The business is still managed by Ken, now aided by his son, James, and long term employee Adam. We provide drainage services, including clearance (anything from a clogged sink to a blocked main drain), surveys (including pre purchase and sewer buildover) and high pressure water jetting.
Although a small company, we have invested heavily in CCTV cameras and tracing equipment as well as drain clearing machines, including High Pressure Water Jetters, sectional spring machines and the Picote descaling machine.
